About ...

vmlinux.org is the hub in a non-profit collective of people using it as a refuge, stepping stone and work horse for everyday operations. The first incarnations of our hosting server was scrap hardware, discarded by friends, family and co-workers. Today, however, the server is a Quad Core with 8 GB RAM hosting several Xen domU virtual machines, of which vmlinux.org is one. We have always been using the Apache web server and for all previous installations we used Debian GNU/Linux operating system. Today we run Ubuntu server.
